KNIGHT FRANK: CASE STUDY

Implementing Policies That Support Sustainability Ambitions

Knight Frank is widely recognised as one of the world's leading independent real estate consultancies.

In Ireland, the company has been at the centre of many of Ireland's most significant recent commercial and residential property transactions. As a result, the company wanted to implement a sustainability policy that most accurately affirmed its commitment to achieving long-term sustainable outcomes across all its operations and supply chain.

Knight Frank commissioned KRA Renewables to develop a policy that supports them in delivering against their strategy and embedding eco-friendly practices into the organisation's core identity.

As part of the project, KRA Renewables developed a sustainability policy, outlining the context, ambition, and direction for sustainability at Knight Frank. In addition, our team undertook a desktop review of their current strategy and documents to benchmark against best practices and launched a report to include recommendations for improvement while considering carbon emissions, energy, water, waste management, materials, biodiversity, and educational training.

Once the report was finalised, we facilitated a workshop with their sustainability team to discuss their policy's ambitions, commitments, and actions.

This project included delivering a clear and relevant policy to support Knight Frank's activities, internal systems, and commitment to implementing a Net Zero by 2030 pathway. KRA Renewables' expertise in renewable energy within the built environments and sustainability master planning offered professional expertise on the most appropriate strategic direction. With a clear sustainability strategy, Knight Frank are demonstrating to their clients, supply chain and competitors their deep commitment to improving their environmental impact.
